Fisker Karma now with 0 percent addition

A nice scoop for Fisker: the first automaker goes the brand in the Netherlands all cars sold debating them as an addition to a lower regime to get.

The Mitsubishi models that use the Mitsubishi Lancer body and platform cover a wide range of performance and cost. We found the Lancer Evolution X an incredible thrill ride and the Lancer Ralliart a fun sport driver. Mitsubishi offers the Lancer in a Sport back version, a slick hatchback, but our GTS was the sedan version. With the CVT, the GTS gets an EPA-rated 23 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. Strictly front-wheel drive, the electric power-steering unit is tuned for its suburban mission.

Mitsubishi unveiled its Fuse system this year, a competitive technology to Ford Sync. Our GTS lacked the available hard-drive-based navigation unit, but we have seen this technology in other Mitsubishi cars.

To some traditionalists, the Chevy Cruze is small; to a Smart ForTwo driver, the Cruze is a perhaps large, wasteful near-midsize car masquerading as a small car. There are also now cheap small cars – like the base Nissan Versa, and small cars that are more premium – like the Buick Verano. The Mitsubishi Lancer GTS reviewed here kind of falls into the middle of the spectrum. It’s a cheap car with some premium features.

The transition from Mitsubishi’s least-expensive US model to a quasi-luxury car is not exactly a thorough one. Sure, there are nice features like HID xenon headlamps, leather seats, a 9-speaker, 710-watt Rockford-Fosgate sound system, Bluetooth, rain sensing wipers, leather seat[in surface]s, auto on/off headlamps, power glass sunroof, and multi-spoke 18 inch alloy wheels. The Lancer, on the other hand, was somewhat fun to drive, with accurate steering that communicates the car’s relationship with the road fairly well, and a good ride/handling compromise.

Pricing for the 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS is pretty straightforward. It starts at $20,295, and my test car had the $3,300 GTS Touring Package (710 watt audio system, Sirius, HID headlamps, rain sensing wipers, auto headlamps, heated front seats, power glass sunroof, and rear lip spoiler), plus $150 for the premium Rotor Glow (orange) paint.

2013 Jaguar F Type very popular

Barely a month after its world debut in Paris Jaguar has reportedly already 2,000 orders for the F-type written. If the number of orders in the order book, this rate is about 2013 for the full launch in May.

Jaguar has deployed 7,000 sold F-type in 2013, the year after the brand hopes to be able to sell 10,000 copies each. The already written two thousand orders so nice for Jaguar that wants to make a career by going back to her roots, and that is creating exciting sports cars.

2014 Cadillac CTS leaked ahead of its NYC debut

The Cadillac CTS is officially the worst kept secret of the NYIAS in New York. Yesterday leaked already detailed pictures of the car, now there is a whole set of pictures of the complete interior and exterior on the site ended.

More than yesterday specifications are not known. We know however, that under the hood choice comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine (272 hp), a 3.6-liter V6 (321 hp) and the provisional ---a 3.6-liter V6 biturbo with 420 hp. Switch with an automatic transmission with six or eight resist.

What we see on the pictures, it is clear that the Cadillac CTS is the big brother of the ATS. The CTS, which again the BMW 5-series-recording, do get sharper lines than the Benjamin of the family, so in that sense there is, besides the size, of course, still distinction.

Strangely enough, this image featuring the yet to be unveiled, 2007/8 MINI Convertible appeared on an official MINI dealer’s website (Braman MINI Palm Beach), in the section “New Car Specials”. I’m pretty sure that you’re wondering what we think. Well, honestly, we’re not sure. There’s a chance that the dealer could have received some images/renderings that were intended for internal use but on the other hand, this could be nothing more than just a photoshop. Either way, this guy has several questions to answer for selling a car on his website that practically doesn’t exist!

Ford Focus equipped with brake based torque vectoring

The 2012 Ford Focus is set to hit dealers early next year, and in addition to a cadre of standard and optional features, Ford is equipping every new Focus with its new breed of “torque vectoring control.”
For the uninitiated, torque vectoring systems actively split power between the two driven wheels to maximize traction and increase performance. Some higher-end systems manipulate the output to each wheel through a set of electronically controlled gears, while others apply a subtle amount of braking to the inside wheel, causing more power to be sent to the outside wheel, thus helping rotate the vehicle through a turn. Ford is using the latter on the 2012 Focus, the first implementation of its kind on a Blue Oval model in North America.
Thanks to the continued implementation of standard traction control systems, these torque vectoring setups are becoming more common and have finally reached the compact segment. While the benefits generally outweigh the negatives, we’ve found other brake-based systems have a tendency to overheat the pads, rotors and fluid when flogged long and hard enough (ahem, GTI). We’ll be able to test it out for ourselves soon, so look for a full driving report in just over a month. In the meantime, get the full details in the press release after the jump.

Audi TT RS Plus Review

Audi TT RS Plus. The Audi TT is one of the vehicles youve always liked by everyone. It is a coupe only in many ways, its size, its benefits and its own unique characteristics are of this model. With the convertible versions, the driving experience still further increased at doses of sportiness and exclusivity extra. Toyota FT 86 Photos leaked online

Some time ago, we brought you the first leaked images showing a brand new Toyota FT-86 sports car scheduled to be officially revealed at the Auto Show this year in Tokyo. First factory built Fisker Karma hits the stage

Staying true to its concept form, the factory-built Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid that hit the stage at the Paris Motor Show retains the concept’s massive 22-inch wheels (Fisker says it’ll be the first production car equipped with standard 22s), sensuous styling, 403-plus horsepower rating and the company’s promise ofachieving 100-plus miles per gallon in regular use. So, what’s exactly different about the factory-built version? Well, the most notable exterior modification is the addition of a (blacked-out) B-pillar, which was apparently required to increase the vehicle’s structural rigidity.

Aside from the added pillar, we can’t really pick out any differences between the gorgeous concept that we laid eyes on a few years ago and this production-ready version that hit the stage in Paris. Fisker still lists a base price of $88,000 and anticipates that deliveries will begin early next year, or so it says. We hope to get up close and personal with the Karma at the upcoming LA Auto Show, but for now, hit up that high-res gallery of live shots that just came in from Paris and hop the jump for more info from Fisker.

Xenatec Maybach Cruiserio coupe enters production with Saudi investment

Want to get your hands on a Maybach coupe? You’ve got two options. First would be to commission a replica of the Exelero concept car on the chassis of a Dodge Viper. That’ll set you back €550,000, or about $730k at today’s conversion rates. Your other choice is to have Xenatec convert a Maybach 57 S limo into a coupe for €675,000 ($894k).

We brought you initial news of the project back in May, followed by details in October. For a quick refresher, the German coachbuilder brought in Fredrik Burchhardt, designer of the original Exelero, to pen the modified shape for the coupe. The result keeps most of the saloon’s mechanicals in place – including the 600+ horsepower twin-turbo V12 – only with modified bodywork, cabin and (of course) two longer doors instead of four.

Seen until now only in sketches, the Xenatec Maybach coupe has been (awkwardly) dubbed the Cruiserio, and it has just made its debut at Daimler headquarters in Stuttgart. The project is now being underwritten by a €70 million ($93M) investment from AutoKingdom of Saudi Arabia. Over the course of three years, Xenatec and AutoKingdom ambitiously anticipate building 100 examples, and say they’ve already got enough orders to keep them busy for the next year or so. Can’t wait that long? The first example is up for sale out of Riyadh, with a price tag of just under a cool million.

The 2011 Mazda2 hopes to bring some of the "zoom-zoom" driving Mazda is known for to the mushrooming subcompact class.

One of those is the Mazda2. The 2011 Mazda2 has seating for five in a compact hatchback body. The Mazda2 makes some sacrifices -- cargo space is small -- but in return it promises buyers a super-cute urban runner with good city fuel economy and a nice interior. "The Mazda 2 is not a breakthrough performance,” Edmunds explains.

Buyers who’ve waited to buy a super small car are in luck. If youre interested in the Mazda2, you should also check out the Mini Cooper -- but bear in mind that the Cooper, though it offers excellent performance, starts at about $4,000 more than the Mazda2.

The Mazda2 has two trims: Sport and Touring. The Touring trim adds nicer cloth seats, cruise control, a six-speaker stereo and steering-wheel mounted stereo controls. The 2011 Mazda2 Sport starts at $14,730 and the Touring model starts at $16,185.

Now you can add the 2011 Mazda 2 to that list of price-conscious hatchbacks. On the plus side, the Mazda 2 is quite sporty to drive, and indeed this is one area where Mazda is quite proud of its new entry-level car. The list of standard and available features for the Mazda is quite short, too.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
The 2011 Mazda 2 is a five-passenger, four-door subcompact hatchback that is available in two trim levels -- Sport and Touring. The Sport comes standard with 15-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, air-conditioning, full power accessories, a tilt steering wheel and a four-speaker CD/MP3 audio system with an auxiliary input jack.
