2013 Audi RS3 Review Price Engine Specifications

Specification image modification exterior interior price review 2013 Audi RS3
welcome to Neonista.blogspot.com website that provides a variety of information about the latest cars in the world. and this time we will share information about the 2013 Audi RS3, the following information

Audi will be bringing the new generation A3 hatchback to the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March, leading the way to the unveiling of the S3 and RS3 versions shortly thereafter. The RS3 will be the last to arrive, but will undoubtedly be the most impressive.

The new RS3, like the entire A3 family, will be built on a new MQB platform that will make the car about 10% lighter when compared to its predecessor. Audi will also adopt an updated exterior language as seen in the A3 Concept unveiled last year at the Geneva Motor Show. There will also be an improved interior and an upgraded infotainment system.

Under the hood, the next RS3 will retain its usual turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine, but its output will be increased from the current 340 HP to 350 HP. Audi will also be working to improve fuel economy.

Platform: The S3, like the A3 on which it’s based, will ride on an all-new platform. Audi and VW call the architecture MQB, an acronym for German words with several thousand letters apiece. It’s super flexible, and will underpin everything from the next VW Golf to a big three-row VW SUV. (We’ve got a detailed description of MQB and how it works here.) Underpinning the S3, the MQB platform will be in one of its lighter, smaller guises. The car in these spy shots is a three-door hatch, but it’s the least likely of the three global A3 body styles to come to the U.S. An S3 sedan is a near lock, and a five-door S3 hatch is at least on the table.
 Powertrain:
A turbocharged 2.0-liter four should give the S3 about 300 hp. The engine is most likely an evolution of the 2.0-liter four powering at least a dozen other Volkswagen and Audi products. Some current versions of this engine make just 200 hp, but the motor is good for 265 in the Audi TTS. The EA888 engine will mount transversely in the S3’s architecture, and an all-wheel-drive system will distribute power to all wheels.

What transmission Audi will offer in the S3 is a question we’re sore to even have to ask. A dual-clutch automatic is almost guaranteed, but the availability of a genuine stick is unclear as of now. Enthusiasts at the Church of Manual Transmissions chant the hymnal “No Stick, No Buy,” but we’re not always enough to persuade the product planners. We won on the Golf R, which comes only with a stick in the U.S., and control-freak American investment bankers are the sole reason BMW is offering a manual for the new M5. But the Audi TTS only has a DSG transmission, as do many of Volkswagen and Audi’s hotter offerings over in Europe.

Competition: BMW 135is, Ford Focus ST, Mini John Cooper Works, Subaru WRX STI, Volkswagen Golf R.

What Might Go Wrong: Prohibitive pricing could curb enthusiasm for a hot Audi hatch. So long as it starts at less than the 135i’s $40k-plus sticker, though, Audi should find takers. Potentially a bigger problem: Audi could well decide bringing the S3 to the U.S. isn’t worth the effort after all. Potentially tiny—in relative terms—sales numbers and a fluctuating euro could make the prospect of selling a small, premium performance car a daunting task.caranddriver.com

2014 Kia Forte Price and Specs

2014 Kia Forte Price and Specs, the introduction of the 2014 Kia Forte sedan marks the second time in five years that Kia has completely redesigned its compact sedan offering. Put another way, car shoppers have now had three entirely different options in this category from Kia – the unloved Spectra along with two generations of the Forte – in the same period of time that Toyota has been building the current Corolla.

Inside the cabin, Kia has upgraded just about every surface and texture you can put your hands on. Theres optional leather with a heated and ventilated driver seat, and front and rear passengers are treated to optional heated seating surfaces, a nice touch in this price class. The overall in-cabin design is a bit bulbous from behind the steering wheel, but we appreciate the detail Kia has put into the 2014 Fortes interior design, all the way from the soft-touch steering wheels comfortable stitching to the ripple effect echoing across the passenger side of the dash and door panels. Love it or hate it, at least its unique, and we can all be thankful that the Forte is devoid of more me-too silver-painted plastic trim.

Kia has switched from a hydraulic power steering setup in the last-gen Forte to a new electronic system for 2014. As is usually the case, the motor-driven rack is generally numb and lacking in feel, but Kia has at least seen fit to offer an optional Flex Steer package that allows the driver to switch between Comfort, Normal and Sport steering modes. As you might expect, we preferred Sport and found Normal acceptable, but Comfort is useless and devoid of any redeeming value, assuming you have two fully functional hands with which to drive.

2014 kia forte price

2014 Forte will start under $16,000. A "well-equipped" LX model will run in the $18,500 range, and wed imagine a top-level EX loaded with all the desirables will command a price in the low $20s, but well have to wait until the cars on-sale date in March to find out more. Well also need to wait on official EPA fuel mileage figures, but we expect those will be a bit higher than the current Fortes 26 city and 36 highway numbers.

New VW Golf Variant Jetta SportWagen This Is It

Just last night, we brought you a set of spy shots of a camouflage-free (well, sans the tail lamps) of the next iteration of the Volkswagen Golf Variant, which depending on the country you reside in, may also be called Golf Wagon, Golf Estate or Jetta SportWagen.

Regardless of the name, its the same car and we now have pictures (likely digitally enhanced by VW) of the final production version.

The design is a cleaner and sharper evolution of the current model with a better-looking rear end. We dont have any images of the interior, but its a given that it will be identical to the Golf Mk7 hatchback, with which it shares its (elongated) MQB platform architecture and engine range.

In Europe, for example, buyers should be able to order the Golf Variant with several petrol engines, such as a 1.2-liter TSI 104hp (105PS), a 1.4-liter TSI 120hp (122PS) and a 1.4-liter TSI 138hp (140PS) with Active Cylinder Technology, and at least two diesels, the 1.6-liter TDI 104hp (105PS) and a new 2.0-liter TDI 148hp (150PS unit).

For precise details, we will have to wait for a VW release.

Geneva Bound Sanguis is a Bentley Continental GT Fettled by Mansory

Compared to its other offerings at the 83rd Geneva Motor Show, the Mansory Sanguis, i.e. the German tuning brand’s take on the new Bentley Continental GT, is pretty restrained.

Bentley Continental GT Fettled Interior

Then again, that’s probably because the Bentley coupe is a much more subtle car to start with than the Aventador or the F12berlinetta that also received the Mansory touch and will join the Sanguis at the show.

Even so, it too gets the wide body treatment (by 50 mm at the front and 60 mm at the rear), carbon fiber bonnet and front wheels, huge, 22-inch alloys and, of course, a power upgrade.

A sports exhaust, air filter and “optimized engine performance graph”, i.e. ECU remap of the 6.0-liter W12 raise the maximum output to a hefty 662HP (672PS), while torque climbs to 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) at just 1,700 rpm.

As a result, the Sanguis dispatches the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in just 4.5 seconds and tops out at 322 km/h (200 mph), just shy of Bentley’s own GT Speed.

Last, but not least, the interior has been left mostly unchanged; that is, excluding the very finely stitched, and very red, leather that is covering nearly every surface.

The Motor Industry Has Come A Long Way

The Motor industry has come a long way since 1885 when Karl Benz put together the first contraption in Germany. The industry quickly became viable with loads of  investors getting into the field. By 1929, more than 38 million cars were in the US alone. This meant that there was a car for every 5 people in America. This already was an achievement and with the US providing 90% of the cars. Soon Japan took over as the largest producer of cars and China are pushing for that spot today. The advancements have been nothing but phenomenal from simple steam engines to petrol engines and now hybrids and Electric. The development has seen new car brands develop to provide cars for many different needs and styles. The initial purpose was for transportation and functionality. The luxury need was later developed and today we see high flying concept cars coming to being every other day.

Materials

It is almost impossible to tell where we are heading in the industry. The materials that were used back in the day were purely metal and leather for interiors. The industry has taken to plastics and carbon fiber among others for improvement and luxury. Engines have been developed using light aluminum and bodies carbon fiber for lightness. Different plastics have been used for support and lining while wood and fabrics ranging from leather and rexin are incorporated into the designs. Cars have become purely instruments of innovation. Functionality and elegance gaps are slowly closing in with earth movers being developed to provide comfort during work. Trucks have been fused with state of the art technology to provide a peace of mind and unmatched comfort for long distance drivers.

Speed

30 miles per hour was a killer speed in the 1890s. Speeds have since been improved with engines and car systems being developed to give more power. With present speeds of over 260miles per hour, very little is left to the imagination of many. The Buggati Veron, Ferrari, Lamborghini and other supercars have made speed their opium. Cars are being built to provide more horse power like jet engines, and this speed  comes with a price in terms of both risk and cost. The motor industry has also claimed many lives on the roads so standard cars come with standard speeds too.

Safety

The main concern of the car industries now is safety and functionality. With such speeds being developed. It has become crucial that cars are fitted with more safety features. Airbags have been developed with a fusion of anti-roll bars to increase the chances of survival in high speed crashes, impact and rolling. Volvo ranks as one of the safest vehicles.  Mercedes Benz are proving to be very safety conscious too.

These factors are a major concern when buying cars whether used or new. Laws and regulations have been put in place to regulate the automotive business and driving for the safety of the users. The concept car developments however give a good idea of where the industry is headed in the future.

Ferrari 458 Italia

While every Ferrari is an innovative setting, it is equally true that the history of the prancing horse, some cars are marked with an authentic differs from the current range. This is the true place of Italy Ferrari 458, which is a huge leap forward in the company prior to the mid back with sports cars. The new model is a synthesis of style, creativity, passion and advanced technology, for which Italy as a nation is well known. For this reason, Ferrari chose to add the name of his country to the traditional figure representing the displacement and number of cylinders.

The car’s soundtrack is also typical Ferrari, with an exciting, powerful growl emerging from the engine before it channels through to the exhaust’s three rear tailpipes. The 458 Italia is equipped with the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which increases performance whilst providing very smooth shifts even at full throttle. The engineers have developed specific, sportier gear ratios to match the power and torque curves of the new V8, guaranteeing high torque even at lower engine speeds and allowing the car to reach its maximum speed in top gear.

This new Ferrari is a great leap forward in terms of emissions reduction. Although the new engine is more powerful than the V8 that preceded it, the Ferrari 458 Italia produces just 320 g / km of CO2 and fuel consumption is 13.7 l/100 km (combined cycle) Best of all the segment.

The engineers also focused on weight reduction during the design phase for similar reasons. Consequently, the Ferrari 458 Italia has a dry weight of 1,380 kg with a power to weight ratio of 2.42 kg / hp. Weight distribution is also optimal with 58 percent of the rear axle. The result of the efforts of engineers can be summarized in two simple statistics that contain perfectly the exceptional performance of the Ferrari 458 Italia: 0-100 km / h in under 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 325 km / h.

For the new chassis, once again, aluminum, Maranellos engineers incorporated various types of advanced aerospace alloys, resulting from the manufacturing techniques and union. What is vehicle dynamics, Italy Ferrari 458 has twin wishbone front suspension and rear multi-link set-up optimized for maximum grip and superb handling. Together with the more direct steering ratio, then the Ferrari 458 Italy offers a turn-and very fast control of the body, while maintaining the comfort excellent guide.

Integration with the E-Diff and F1-Trac (now controlled by the same unit) and their descriptions is even greater when the increase of 32 percent in longitudinal acceleration of the angles than previous models. Development of control logic, calculation even faster and more accurate levels of grip, ensures greater maneuverability, handling and ease of control of the border.

The same unit also manages the ABS high performance, offering more precise control of the logic threshold and increases efficiency. Brakes will also feature a pre-fill feature, piston calipers and pads to move in contact with the sheets to minimize delay in raising the brakes are used. This, combined with ABS 100-0 kmh cut braking distance is only 32.5 meters.

The interior of the Ferrari 458 Italy is another aspect of the car, which enhances its sporty personality. The driver is greeted by a new look and a revolutionary ergonomic interface where the main controls are grouped on the wheel.
